Dr. Thomas Youm

Dr. Youm specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee and treatment of athletic injuries. In addition, Dr. Youm provides comprehensive orthopaedic care for conditions and injuries of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle, and foot. He is also certified in cartilage replacement surgery for the treatment of cartilage lesions of the knee.

A native of Long Island, New York, Dr. Youm completed his orthopaedic residency at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic . He is an assistant professor at the NYU School of Medicine and a member of both the Adult Reconstruction and Sports Medicine Departments at NYU HJD. Dr. Youm staffs the Sports Medicine Clinic at the Manhattan VA Hospital and the Adult Reconstructive Surgery Clinic at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.
